BEAUTIFUL DONEGAL TWEED JACKET BY MAGEE OF IRELAND​

Dated 10 July, 1985.

Tagged 42R, but closer to a 38. Measurements:

Chest: 20 1/2
Sleeve: 25 1/8 (+2)
Shoulder: 18 1/4
Length: 30

This is lovely! Made by Magee, the premier Irish makers of Donegal Tweed jackets, this is cut as a contemporary two button jacket with subtle darts and a twin vent, as is traditional with Irish country tweed jackets.

The cloth that it is cut from was handwoven in Co. Donegal, Ireland, on traditional looms and then washed in the gentle waters of the River Eske to give it the soft hand that Donegal tweed is known for. The tweed is a lovely Irish country check in cream and light brown with the occasional cleck of orange-gold.

The jacket is fully lined and half-canvassed. It was, of course, Made in Ireland and it is in excellent condition.
