"Slim" chino fits actually well shaped for the slender?

I wear a 28 inch waist pant and it's hell to find anyone who sells that size so I stick to Banana Republic because they offer a size 28. Their Gavin and Vintage Straight fits work well for me. I also really like Brooks Brothers Milano fit chinos but the smallest size they sell is a 30 so I have to have them taken in. I've always had good experiences with Tommy Hilfiger chinos which can be had usually for $30 or less at the outlet. BR also has some great deals at their outlet as well. I recently purchased a pair of chinos from them for $20 in January at an outlet. They had a large cache of overstock chinos from fall 2009.
