^ Not to distract from the topic of this thread but, why would someone want to wear a polo shirt that didn't breath well? Seems it would present a bit of a contradiction of intent vs reality, to me.

Lovely cool fabric to wear on a hot day. I personally wear one with cotton trousers but could go with lightweight wool trousers. The downside with a silk polo it is hardly a durable fabric, snags easily and any stain shows. But i'd still recommend one just to experience how nice it feels on the skin.

I have several silk tees and polos ......

I have never noticed that they wore hotter than my cotton ones. However, they do snag and the ones made in China, pill badly. I have quit biying them for these reasons. Mercerized cotton is much better.
