I just received as a hand-me-down from an uncle: a swell old BB genuine sack suit, in a heavy charcoal wool I don't believe they offer anymore. It's a honey.
It fits perfectly, too, except for the sleeve and trouser lengths, which are all about 1/2-1 inch too short. I guess I could let out the cuffs, but I don't want to. Don't believe there is any more material in the sleeves to let out.
The thing is, I kind of like the slightly-too-short look of it--it seems like a more vintage fit, somehow, and makes me look taller, I think. I read somewhere that fashion plate director Wes Anderson deliberately has his suits cut short like this as he likes the look.
What do you guys think? Will I look like a rube, or is this do-able?
