These arrived yesterday, September first, but were purchased in August. This will be my only entry in this thread (because the Little Debbie truck arrives tomorrow and any extra cash goes toward the winter stockpile. The Molson guy arrives the day after that)

Those shots are from the Allen Edmonds site. Here is what they look like here at the Pinery...

The forefoot has been creamed with Tarragó russet (red) for more depth.

But that's not what the Cheap Bastard paid, else there would be no Pinery pictures .There was a single pair in my 10.5 EEE size, factory second for $199. But that's not what the Cheap Bastard paid, else again, these would not now be sitting on the Pinery porch waiting for the leaves to fall. There was a 30% further mark off. So final price $139, or $111 in Little Debbie dollars (1.25 the pkg ,$.15 a bite).

I'm green with envy, Peaks. These are the perfect accompaniment to black tie at opening night for a performance of Manon Lescaut at the Met. That'll show them! I can see you applauding a stirring rendition of Sola, perduta, abbandonata:

Just ordered a J Press Magee plaid sport 3/2 jacket to fill out my fall/winter retirement closet. This will be in addition to a Harris Tweed blue green birdseye from Ben Silver, a 3//2 Camel Hair BB jacket, and two navy blazers, one a 3/2 travel jacket from Orvis and one a 3/2 worsted from BB which I think is no longer is production. I'll post photos when it arrives.

Here ya' go Peaks. Top to bottom- Ben Silver 2 button Harris Tweed, BB 3/2 patch and flap blazer, Press 3/2 Magee tweed, BB 3/2 Camel w/patch and flap. The Magee from Press (sans hanger) filled in a gap that I had been wanting. Cheers, Tom

Neat jackets, especially the plaid one. I admire your dorm room hanging of the jackets in cascade fashion, but true tweed maturity requires they be placed inside the closet. You'll learn as you get older.

I think I'm going to buy my first O'Connell's khakis. It's rare that I find something from O'Connell's that I can't find somewhere else for a better value.

I realized the amount of money I spent trying on 3-4 pairs of mis-sized chinos from S&M could have been spent on one good pair from O'Connell's.

The pair of chinos below measure at 22" thighs, and a 6.5" leg opening. The size chart claimed 27" thighs and an 8" leg opening. Well that explains why these feel like wearing an unbreathable vice.

A good idea. But check to see if they have a sales coming up in October or early November. They do have two or three sales events each year where you can pick up substantial savings. I am thinking of picking up their khakis myself this Fall since I really liked their grey flannels and Nantucket Reds that I picked up last year. Your photo looks great, if that is indeed you, @delicious_scent !
