Has anyone purchased a Samuelsohn classic fit suit lately? I saw one on sale at Saks Off with the pic that I hope is attached around here somewhere. Those jackets aren't really that short, are they? If so, perhaps ordering longs instead of regulars might help...

All comments much appreciated.

Generally I believe, "To each his own."

That being said, I find it challenging to believe that anyone would term the cut of this suit "Classic."

Although I do not have any recent experience with Samuelsohn, one of my oldest suits is a Samuelsohn. I would call it a "Semi-MTM." I consider it a well worn, but still serviceable, friend.

I am shocked that so-called fashionistas had the power to bring this look into the mainstream. The look is atrocious and I find it antithetical to being "Classic.

If this is what Samuelsohn is selling as "Classic" I would take a pass.

Thank you everyone for the comments. I do indeed find it hard to believe it would really fit like this. None of my other Samuelsohns fit like this, either. One never knows these days but I'm thinking someone was being overly trendy and just put a jacket on this fellow for the photo that was way too small...

Either a photo stylist thought this was a good look or, they only had one size suit and one size model.

My one Sammy suit is classic, I doubt they would abandon the style for this.

Well, for what it's worth, I went ahead and purchased one of these Samuelsohn suits. I have lost so much weight lately that I had go down a size to 42 and I went for a tall instead of regular length due to the pics. It came today and the length of the jacket is perfect, although the sleeves may need to be shortened - but only slightly. I have a bad feeling that if I'd gotten a regular length like I usually do, it would have indeed been too short. Live and learn...
