I was at my local tailor establishment earlier and he presented two compelling fabric books in my price range $1,500 -1,750. To be quite honest he presented more than two. I found the Zegna to be out of my price range. The other well it escapes me at the moment, lets just say it was his value line, his best seller that sold for $1,100 on average.

My question is has anyone had any experience with Revenge or LP MTM? Also is there an significant difference between a 120 and a 130? This will be my first MTM, not another fiasco like the one I had at Von Maur. What should I be looking for in my first suit?

I am guessing you are comparing the Barberis Revenge (130s) with the Loro Piana Four Seasons (120s)...both are FABULOUS and you can't go wrong with either...my personal opinion - I think the Four Seasons is a bit beefier and the Revenge has a bit more sheen...

I have a suit made out of Revenge it's alright but I find it a bit flimsy.

Go with the loro piana although I much prefer there tasmanian.

The four seasons book has a great Brown birdseye in it. I had a suit made up in it which was double breasted with patch pockets.....inspired by Patrick Bateman in a scene in the restaraunt (name escapes me). It looked great I still mourn it's passing I will make myself another someday I am sure.
