This is absolutely terrific--and absolutely PACKED with features! It's rather rare, since it is unusual to find a complete origional set of jacket and trousers.

Likely dating from the 1970s this set was made in the USA by Woolrich from Woolrich's own thick, rugged woolen fabric in a classic American red and black Buffalo check. Unlike later versions this set is ALL WOOL rather than the more common blend of wool and nylon.

Both the jacket and the trousers are packed with features.

The jacket is secured by five oversized front buttons, designed to be useable even when your fingers are cold. The front closure features a concealed placket which here fucntions as a wind flap to keep you warm. The jacket has two deep slash handwarmer pockets on the sides--these are lined in sturdy cotton duck. It has two lower deep front flap pockets and two upper front flap pockets that will hold all you need for a day in the field. All pockets close with highly-functional snaps. The jacket's collar is oversized to protect against the wind and can be fastened upright with the functional throat latch. The sleeves features adjustable cuffs.

The jacket has a full length game pocket on the back. It has a quilted nylon lining which features pictures of deer, dogs, and hunters. All of the buttons are original.

The trousers close with their original Talon zipper which moves nice and smoothly. They are fully quilted for warmth for field use, and come complete with reinforced waistband buttons for suspenders. They have elasticated knit cuffs to tuck into the tops of your boots for ease of movement in the field. They have two deep pockets on the front--reinforced with additional stitching at the stress points--and two button-down flapped pockets on the back.

This set is in Very Good/Excellent condition! It could use a dry clean as it has been in storage, but will be lovely and fresh once this is done. It is missing the interior draw string that could be cinched tight around the waist, but this is a feature that is rarely if ever used and which makes no cosmetic or functional difference to the coat.

A rare opportunity to acquire a lovely, functional, wearable piece of Americana!

Asking just $85, or offer, boxed, shipped, and insured in the USA.
