Well, after all the thinking, researching, time and expense, plus the generous guidance and support of many forum members, with helping me start a "Trad" wardrobe, it turns out I have an uncle who must be Mr Trad. My uncle is recently retired and doing the downsizing thing going from house to condo and is getting rid of a lot of stuff, including closets full of Brooks/Press cloths etc. He has offered me my pick and I plan to go this weekend. He said he has suits/shirts/pants/old Cross & Parker pens/leather briefcases/jewelry/watches, just about everything.
Question, with my move to upgrade my wardrobe from jeans/sweats/tees to trad, are there some things not worn as hand-me-downs? I guess I don't see anything wrong with most stuff as long as it's not too worn out. Any suggestions about what is and is not acceptable?
Thanks for your help in advance.
