It appears there is a preference for high button stance on 2 button suits. This would so apply to 3 button with the top button rolled over by the lapel. Obviously for 3-button of the variety true 3-button and the 2 1/2 button, there is less leeway. What is the highest possible position? What is the lowest possible position? I myself prefer a lower button stance where the top button is the same distance from my belt as the bottom button is from the belt, buttons being separate by like 11-12cm. So, thus to elongate the roll of the lapel.
