Question about aging of unused cordovan shoes

981 Views 0 Replies 1 Participant Last post by  bigCat
I am in possesion of a pair of color 8 shell cordovan shoes that have been made several years ago. They are not worn, but the color already got deeper (like cordovan normally does with time). My question is can this shoe still be considered "new"? Meaning, will it get the same wear and last as long as the same shoe made more recently?
Or, has the time it has been sitting on the shelf already reduced some of it lifetime?

Thank you,
hreljan
