I'd appreciate some advice about the relative quality of shirts from the many shirtmakers that produce dress shirts: Armani, Brioni, Canali, Barbera, Isaia, Kiton, Gucci, Versace, Prada, Hilditch & Key, Burberry, Turnbull & Asser, Zegna, Zanella, etc., etc. I know that a lot of what we like comes from the lines of the shirt, but here I'm more interested in the inherent quality--of the cotton, workmanship, overall effect. I know that most designers have several lines (like Armani, ranging from the low-end Armani Exchange, Emporio Armani,..., up to Armani Black Label, and maybe beyond for all I know), but here I'd like to restrict things to the upper lines for a maker (like the Armani Le Collezioni line, for example). What have the experiences and evaluative impressions been of shirts by those of you interested in this topic?
