I just got a vintage RL Polo double breasted seersucker suit on eBay and I'm trying to determine the age of it. It's made in America. The tag states "season 56." Is this a clue to the age?

Slightly illegible— 5596 or 8596.

Will be interested if the Doc comes up with something. I can add this as general info. The very earliest Polo jackets and suits have what appears to be the standard label that Lauren (until very recently) has used for years. Except the name RALPH LAUREN is in all caps. I believe this continued for a very short time, and then until now only the R and L are so bolded.
