Hey all,

I just commissioned another custom suit with Paul Chang in Chicago. Using Scabal's amazing online fabric search tool, I was able to pick out the exact fabric I wanted. And, after the swatch came in and I was able to look at in person and feel the fabric, I was in love.

Here is a pic of the fabric. The picture isn't perfect, but I think it is accurate enough.

I was hoping my 130's picks made the cut, dang! In any case that looks great and its spot-on as far as what you were going for. Lets see the finished product when its ready.

Any idea how long it will take before its 100% completed?

The alternating heavy and light stripe is nice. Looks like flannel, although you didn't say, unless that's a focus artifact. As long as that's not too heavy for your spring, as that's when you will get it, I should think.

That fabric looks Great! Beautiful stripes. Frankly, I'm jealous!

Be sure to let us know how the suit works out once you get it.

It is a flannel, but it is only 10 ozs. Also, Scabal says it is a four season fabric. So, I think it should work year round.

Nice flannel. I noticed that's in Scabal's medium price range. Can I ask what the price per meter was?
Paul Chang charges $1,050 for labor, and this suit is costing me $1,900. So, $850 for the fabric. Also, he orders 4 and 1/2 yards for my suits.

This is the same price point as my previous suit from him using Dormeuil's Amadeus line.

Nice fabric, should make a handsome suit! On my monitor it looks like a gray chalkstripe alternating with a royal blue pinstripe on a medium blue ground. What design details did you decide on?
I've only decided a few things. Single-breasted, two button, side vents. Chang has a lot of experience doing different cuts/styles. So, I may try a British look (although this is hardly a British looking fabric--though from a British mill).

And, yes, your description of the fabric is basically correct. The only difference is that the chalkstripe is more of a cream than a grey.
