Over the years I have purchased at least a half dozen pairs of shoes/boots from Pediwear and cannot recall ever being disappointed with my purchases. They were good to do business with and will be missed. as a potential vendor in the future. ;)

Well darn it, trying not to spend money but the stock is going fast. I been wanting a versatile lace up boot for a couple of years and for less time a nice slipper (especially recently as see my shoe I wear most of the time starting to get a loose stitch on the vamp). They had a fantastic deal on a TBL Mallorca, even less than a glued boot, plus interestingly a Darby instead of an Oxford, love the look and color, so went with that. In short, thank you @never behind for letting us know.

I deleted my previous as thought might be a slight chance taken to be negative, instead, say simply there was an issue with the ordering process. However, I do believe this was for a reason.

I have not been able to wear my Chelsea boots until recently and saw they are a half size smaller than I ordered. Came up with the idea to check the manufacture's website for actual length and matches the Chelsea, so been a half too large.

The only thing is missed out on the slipper, however, my financial plan has changed (I decided to ignore the naysayers and make a dream happen hopefully before turn 50) so for the better. I will keep on using my driving shoes for slippers (bought ages ago when though be getting long term employment not knowing what I know now).

Thank you, Adriel, for taking care not to be negative. It's very considerate of you, and an excellent example for all of us. I, for one, appreciate this care on your part. In the end, negativity might be satisfying (letting off some steam) but little is achieved that is constructive.

You are welcome.

It was a statement of fact of why the footwear had yet to arrive, no intended negativity in the statement, however, being critical even if done what we think is polite might not be taken as such. This I learned recently so still trying to keep it in mind when communicating.

As for letting off steam, I have a cousin who lets me blow off steam. Though now think about it, haven't felt the need to do that since moving to the new home. I figure best to keep our negative emotions private, though I am still working on that (I am an expressive and loud personality despite being an introvert, go figure).

If you all think this be more useful to have in a separate post, please let me know.

First, I am grateful Pediwear has patience, in short, took four tries over this week to get the invoice paid.

The first time, the charge was flagged as possibly fraudulent and let my credit union know it was not. Pediwear tried a second time, no go. So called and transferred to a call center with a belligerent agent who claimed the card was active and fraud protection removed. Pediwear tried a third time, declined yet again. Called before my credit union opened in hopes the call center could help and get it sorted before Pediwear closed. Glad I called, got a different department and explained once the card is flagged, the card is terminated. I didn't want to wait for a card to come in the mail, so went in person. I made it a worthwhile cab fare, got a document notarized and mailed, plus applied for a credit card (looking towards the future of having my own house). The invoice was paid yesterday morning and this morning receive notice they have been shipped, that was quick. I am surprised DHL thinks be here by end of Tuesday.

What I learned from the lady at the credit union who helped is when going to make an international purchase, put in a one day travel notice for when the charge will be made. Then the transaction will not be flagged and possibly end up with a closed card.
