Do you guys think this is a good look or no?
Who is “we”, and what bona fides do you have for offering (apparently quite poor) fashion advice? It's really a matter of personal preference, but we think that patent loafers can be a great addition to almost any outfit. They look especially stylish when paired with trousers, shorts or rolled-up jeans. Wearing them without socks is also an option if you don't mind the extra bit of attention this look might attract. Ultimately, it's all about having fun with your style and expressing yourself through fashion!
Ummm...no. Bass Weejuns are plasticky pieces of garbage - lots of other options that can be worn without socks. None of them patent. The only shoes to be worn without socks are Bass Weejuns.
I wear a pair of Rancourt camp mocs, a pair of Quoddy Maliseets, and a pair of Leather Man flipflops sockless. Wearing them any other way would feel odd. Anything dressier involves socks. Anything dressier than LHS rates dark, solid color socks for me. I gave up the discomfort of patent ages ago, but to me patent demands thin black socks and a dinner suit, the combination only being worn after six. I do not own a pair, but Belgian loafers would look good sockless.Ummm...no. Bass Weejuns are plasticky pieces of garbage - lots of other options that can be worn without socks. None of them patent.
