US passports tend to have a major problem when exposed to water - the plastic that covers the picture tends to peel back and even if you manage to get it back down in place, it looks like you may have tampered with it and substituted in a new picture.I don't see the point of having one. Could you explain? It would seem to make it bulkier, and when you're traveling who needs that?
I found this out after being exposed to my first Newfoundland ice storm (one in which the ice arrives in such a strong wind that the ice pelts you horizontally rather than vertically).
