Would definitely NOT go with a 32", the 30" is fine. In all honesty, I was thrown by the front-facing picture, and initially thought, "wow, 30" is still too long", but it was an errant interpretation. One, the pants are clearly casual (no center crease), and if there were one they'd still be a good length. No, the part that seems "off" to me is that you're pretty slim (you put your measurements on another post somewhere), and these pants look to be a rather full cut, versus "slim" or "tapered". I'd suggest that a slimmer cut pant would work better on you, lessening the "swimming in the fabric" impression one could take from these pictures, esp given the otherwise slimmer fitting t-shirt you're wearing.

Thanks. I wear Clarke fit. The Milano is too snug in the crotch and thigh area to me. That was a bad shift to be wearing, all of my normal ones are less form fitting.

I agree with your choice of the Clarke fit. They work for me as well. Some room to move is always appreciated!
I think yours look fine. Mine look a bit sharper after a trip to the cleaners for a pressing and and ironing in of the crease. Clark’s hold the crease well, even with no starch.
The heavier winter Clark trousers look even more sharp after a pressing.

That is what I have been doing for quite some time, longer and getting hemmed. So I've never really known how much their chinos shrink after the first wash.

The length of your chinos looks fine. If the pants shrink during the washing/drying process, the length will still be fine.
Wool dress trousers have to fit just so; it's important to get the break precisely where you want it. But chinos? I think more leeway is allowed with those things-after all, they are essentially yard pants. Or casual pants in any case. Obviously it's not good to go nuts and have the leg hems puddling around your ankles or situated two inches above them. Your new chinos are hemmed well within the bounds of what is proper. Even some shrinkage won't change that. And should there be shrinkage, embrace it! Wear white socks and dark brown loafers-then log onto You Tube, pull up a compilation of the hit songs from 1965, and dance your heart out.

Kind of a long shot, but does anybody have experience or knowledge of the Red fleece chinos? I know they are slimmer than the normal line, just not sure about rise or leg opening .
The chinos in the picture posted, don’t have the more suitable inseam of 32 for my waist size.

Shrinking is not inevitable or unavoidable.
As I mentioned prior, the key to care is to wash in cold water, hang dry (Do not dry in dryer!), and then press.
My Clark’s have not shrunk a bit using this method and it eliminates fraying and fading at the seams.
Garment care is as important as selecting the correct garment.
