The suit jacket with stripes is a brown/charcoal color. The shirt and tie shown are more brown.

The blue tie is tried because of the shirt's thin blue stripe.

This is my only solid brown silk tie. (I've just remembered a darker solid brown wool tie, away for the season, I'll post tomorrow.)

The jackets are: a brown solid wool polyester blend; a beige linen rayon blend; the brown charcoal with a stripe.

This light blue tie?

Stripes next to stripes even though scales are different?

This brown tie with these?

The more chocolaty brown shirt with the charcoal brown suit?

Forgive me but I find the combination of brown striped shirt, brown suit and brown tie horrible. The ,monochrome palette doesn't work for browns the way it might for blues. The shirt with the linen suit isn't too bad. But overall, I'd kill the shirt and just wear plain white. Leave the shirt for when you're wearing a blue blazer.

I agree with @StephenRG on this one. The stripes and colors of the shirt are in the realm of sport shirts and do not work with a suit IMO. For a striped tie with that suit I might consider a white background shirt with widely spaced, fairly fine blue stripes. As to the tie to pair with that suit and a striped shirt, I would prefer a darker blue. Another course might go in the direction of a pale blue shirt and a paisley tie with a brown background, or even a dark green background.

First, that combination of solid light-blue tie with the boldly-striped shirt and brown jacket is dead on arrival.

I don’t like the shirt very much—too early 1970s for my taste—but it is okay-ish with the beige jacket. It would also be acceptable with a cream jacket. That is, if you’re absolutely determined to wear the shirt. (I like stripes, but not wide brown ones.)
