I came across this movie tonight and started to watch it. It is absolutely fascinating! Not only are the clothes beautiful, but the tailors are quite the cast of characters and absolutely wonderful to listen to.

The dialogue and the discourse goes beyond just the technical aspects of the suit, construction, etc. but delves into the methodology and philosophy of individual tailors and the consideration that goes into both the technical and artistic expression of their work.

This movie was mentioned several years ago but was alluded to only so I thought I would link to it so that those who may be interested can watch it. At >1 hour, it's certainly not something many of us can watch in one sitting, but it's certainly worth watching in installments.

When I first became interested in tailored clothing, my preference was for more British styling. Over the years, I've come to appreciate and seek out Italian, namely Neapolitan, styling due to the more relaxed tailoring style.

Please enjoy:

One minor point about this movie: since it seems to be filmed at 2011, when talking about Rubinacci, only Mariano was interviewed, not his son Luca. Without know all the history about Rubinacci, I wonder when the son Luca joined the business and be the front man of the brand.
