If anyone is a World War I veteran and recalls the Seville, a true open-weave, please advise if OK with blue or gray seersucker? I bought it many years ago to wear in the summer, but since I haven't seen anyone sporting open-weaves in years, I just wanted to make sure this shoe wouldn't look too bizarre in the 21st Century. The color is black.

I was contemplating the woven Hampstead for seersucker summers, but decided the woven is perhaps too much. For me. Woven shoes look great, but as you add up unusual seersucker with unusual shoes, you tend to build an overbearing outfit--make sure you are up for the look.

If someone else snags the eBay shoe first, I'll note that Magnanni offers a similar style of shoe, although it appears to only be available in brown. (Photo from Ben Silver.)
