I'm having a blazer made, and was asked if I wanted offset edge stitching on the lapels. All my odd coats are vintage tweeds with offset stitching on the patch pockets and the lapel so I'd never thought about it. Tailor told me they could do 'invisible' stitching from the back edge for both the lapels and the pockets.
It's a fresco blazer meant for fairly casual wear. I'm assuming the trad would go with 1/4" or so offset stitching?
