Hi all,

Another question I have, is that I have been meaning to get a few suits tailored as best as they can be (if they are fixable) to get them taken in a bit. I have two that are fitting well as far as length of items, shoulders (I think) but I feel like I'm swimming in them now, especially since I have become more used to wearing more form-fitting/slim clothing.

I never want to wear them anymore as they are, but if they were trimmed up I'd wear them.

I have a couple others that are probably lost cause (from Men's warehouse) but also would wear them if some miracle could be performed.

I'd prefer in Manhattan but will go out to the boroughs also.

Thanks,
Greg

If you're located anywhere near downtown, try Joseph, at 7 Dey St. (one block south of Fulton, just east of Broadway - two doors down from Century 21's back door). He's good, cheap, and will give you an honest assessment if the alterations are possible, or whether you shouldn't bother.

They do a great job at the place below if you're in mid-town or just south of it:

Chantilly Lace
148 East 28th Street New York, NY 10016
(212) 213-1492

They did a bunch of exactly what you're describing to my suits. If you mention my name ("Paul"), they'll know who you're talking about.

I assume you mean west of Broadway as Century is to the west. I've been using Wagner's at 144 Fulton. I've been pleased with his work, but he does seem expensive. Ever been to Wagner's? What are the prices for various alterations at Joseph's place?
