Hello everyone. I recently purchased a navy blazer and a sport coat from Paul Stuart online and my regular tailor in NYC has closed up shop due to COVID. Can anyone recommend a tailor that I can trust to do a good job and to turn it around in about a week? I will be back in NYC for about 5 days starting next Sunday before leaving for the month of August. I will also be in NYC tomorrow but just for the day.

@Matt S recently recommended this NYC tailor to me: David Leung at 1415 Lexington Ave, on the east side of the avenue between 92nd St and 93rd St. I have complete confidence in Matt's recommendation, but for full disclosure, I haven't used the gentleman yet.

Also, I believe @paul winston is or, at least, was doing alterations out of a store near Grand Central (I'm sure you could PM him for an address).

My tailor, who wasn't great (which is why I asked Matt for a recommendation) closed for Covid and doesn't look like he'll reopen.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info! I will go there tomorrow to allow plenty of time.

My tailor has not picked up the phone in the last few weeks, and I haven't been by the shop to see if he's been open, so I recommend calling to find out if he's available.
