Well, we know that when the NY Times discovers a trend and pastes it on the front page, it's something that's been 'happening' for at least five years! And so it is with today's Style section article about how hard it is to distinguish gay or straight clothing. Still, it was a good read, and I found the chart amusing. But the focus was largely on low-end fashions (i.e. Hilfiger underwear = straight; 2xist = the so-named 'gayvague' zone; baskit = gay.) Here's a question for our forum: In the classier, high-end fashion world, are there some styles/brands/looks that one would say are primarily gay? I tend to doubt it in 2005, but I could be wrong.
Cheers,
