So I lost a bunch of weight this year and nothing fits me. I'm planning on getting a new wardrobe that suits my now trim self, and I'd like to model it on what Steve McQueen used to wear. Keep in mind I'm a college student so suits aren't my problem, mostly casual wear. I like Steve's timeless style, but I'm not sure what direction to take beyond white t-shirts and khaki's. If anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it. I've used the search function already but again, previous topics mostly covered suits etc.

Best,

It seems to me that one of the unifying themes is lots of crewnecks and turtlenecks. I'm not an expert, but I don't recall seeing him wear a lot of dress shirts (except when absolutely required by the part). The turtlneck under the tweed jacket was a great look in Bullitt.

You may also ...

think of getting a Rolex Submariner (or a GMT), a signet ring with initials and monogrammed house velvet shoes.

Apart from that tweed jackets, a lumberjack check shirt, a bomber and shawl sweaters.

If you want suits or rich man casual - look at "Thomas Crown Affair".
