I have a Charvet silk knit tie that is several years old and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous shade of green and the material is wonderfully crinkly. Recently I decided to order more of them and just received three beautiful ties in various shades of blue. Lovely material. Unfortunately they have changed their design somewhat in that there is no longer a keeper on the larger blade of the tie. Interestingly, there is a vertical label on the narrow blade but it has no apparent use. Maybe it's a thing these days for both ends of a tie to flop around separately, but I dislike the look. Not too bad when wearing a buttoned jacket, but quite bad-looking when I'm in shirt and tie at work. I don't mind the tie hanging free (it looks best that way IMHO) but not in two separate floppy bits. Perhaps it's that coarse nature of these ties, but the blades do not hang straight down like the majority of my non-knit ties, but they tend to diverge from each other no matter how carefully I tie the knot.

Options include attaching my own keeper (I'd rather not risk snagging these ties but I guess the label could be moved) or use something to secure the tie such as a tie bar/clip or pin/tack. I do have a tie bar that someone gave me as a high-school graduate (gold plated with initials, I've never worn it). I tried it on the tie and, alas, said tie was too thick. So, I either need a tie clip that will work for thick ties or a pin of some sorts that won't snag. I'm in a small town without a lot of options, so I'm looking online. Online shopping for such items can be a crap shoot. Any suggestions about sources for such devices and do you have preferences of what to use? Thank you.
