I'm rather new here, and am begining my path toward a quality and well-put-together wardrobe.
I work in the real estate field, which in my town tends to be "very" casual. I'd like a professional appearance and am wondering if it's "appropriate" to wear dress shirts with nice quality chinos. Sometimes a sportcoat will be worn. Oxford (button-collar) shirts and chinos seem a little too casual, but dress slacks and dress shirts all the time may be too much. I'm trying to find a happy middle ground, but don't want to look foolish.
Also any thoughts on short-sleeve dress shirts??
