Functioning cuff buttons are nice and quite rare, but I could never spend $640 on a suit from J. Crew.Yeah, right. I'll welcome a $640 J. Crew suit into my wardrobe right around the time I welcome a 9mm lead slug into my brain.![]()
And I'd assume that would rule out any sleeve alterations.Functioning cuff buttons are nice and quite rare, but I could never spend $640 on a suit from J. Crew.
IF it is like the few jcrew suits i have... canada.Functioning cuff buttons are nice and quite rare, but I could never spend $640 on a suit from J. Crew.
I assume the country of manufacture is China?
Or Italy?![]()
yeah... and even though they've started a new brand, i'm not sure how much i like the name "madewell." if it's a good product, they don't have to justify the product as being "made well," right? haha.I think the time is right for a high quality, well made upmarket brand, but i don't know if anyone will buy clothes like that from J. Crew. It's going to be hard for them to trade up under that brand name.
Not only a 3/2 roll and buttoning cuffs, but if you watch the video he talksthe suit looks very promising IMO. 3 button rolled to 2, slim fitting, natural shoulder suit. very youthful and good for the tall and lean trads. might compete against BB fitzgerald suits.
will visit the store on my early sept. trip and report back.
I'd welcome it if it was of a cut and quality that I liked. I'm not wedded to any particular brand- if Hollister suddenly began selling 3-b sacks of Brooks or J. Press quality from domestic manufacturers (i.e. I woke up and found myself in the Twilight Zone) I'd probably buy from them too.Yeah, right. I'll welcome a $640 J. Crew suit into my wardrobe right around the time I welcome a 9mm lead slug into my brain.![]()
