Thoughts?

I know Brooks Brothers outlet isn't simply unsold items from the main stores....it's "inferior" quality goods made for the outlet.

The same true of Neiman Marcus, Saks, and Nordstrom outlet stores?

On some things, yes. Pocket squares and ties and shirts are usually lesser quality. Suits and shoes are often the same that were in the store but are overstocks or no longer the current line. That's my experience, anyway.

I also generally think the Sak's Off 5th is the better of the three for suits and casual clothes. Mine usually has lots of last season's top-end Ralph Lauren.

I'll mostly be browsing for ties and shirts. Visiting the grandparents in Naples. Nothing to do. Figured I'd kill time at the outlet mall and then stop at the grocery and pick up some Metamucil and depends for the old folks.

I have a Last Call store nearby. It's the best one of the outlets you mention. They have the most stuff from the actual store. Nordstrom Rack has too much outlet-specific stuff, and so does Off Fifth. Check the Last Call "Spot Clearance" section. Don't buy stuff labeled "Neiman Marcus." You can get Brioni, Zegna, Kiton, Cuccinelli and other high end brands at a really good discount.

I just picked up a very nice Peter Millar OTR shirt at Last Call about a week ago. I don't think it was previously altered. Nice quality for the price (I think I paid around $55 for it). I'm still deciding if it will go with anything I have in the wardrobe.

The Off Fifth I visited was 99% Saks brand suits and made for outlet-specific versions of name brands (Hugo, HF, etc). They literally had racks and racks of Saks house brand suits - made me think no one buys them and seemed like a bad sales strategy. It was all sort of disappointing.
