I bought a pair from Nordstroms last year and returned them. The soles are absolutely horrible - they are made out of something that essentially never breaks in and always remains stiff. You go around "thumping" everyplace - if you know what I mean.

I started a thread on these a while back. I was attracted to the fact that they were made in the U.S. and looked to be made of decent materials, but a quick trial run (on carpet) and a look at some shopworn models left me rather unimpressed.
