My decade+ old Brooks Brothers navy blue blazer has met an untimely demise. Or more exactly, my shoulders got larger and I didn't think it worth having the tailor stretch it from a 44L to a 46L. This means I'm on the hunt for a new navy blue blazer. Where should I look?

Beat me to it. Southwick tropical weight navy blazer from O’Connell’s and J. Press blazers are the gold standard now. I’m actually tempted to grab another Southwick from O’Connell’s before they’re gone for good.

Get one made to measure from H. Freeman or Empire. It will take some time, but it will be worth it.

update: picked up an O’Connell’s Doeskin Blazer (hardwick) on eBay for under $100. We'll see what it looks like when it arrives next week...

Brooks Brothers still carries Blazers. J.Press is a good option. Proper Cloth is also very good.

I tried on a Paul Stuart blazer a few months ago and it fit me perfectly. I'll probably buy one over Christmas.
