Hey all, great to be here. Found the forum via some searches regarding info about some USA clothing brands.

I own a clothing business myself in the UK(I won't advertise, or even mention the name of it, thus the private account).

What I'd like to do though is share a massive range of classics for you all to umm, awww or meh about. The business is primarily brand new designer clothing but we've decided to expand to vintage as well because I love classic clothing.

We've literally wholesale bought thousands of 80's, 90's and early 2000's pieces which came from USA and wow, after going through a lot of pallets, there's some gems, what the hecks and even, oh dear's.

We want to share a lot of these here in this thread with you just for fun. Perhaps you had similar pieces years ago, or even maybe it brings back some sort of memory.

Photos I will upload will be ongoing of many brands from LL Bean (plenty of USA made pieces), Eddie Bauer, brooks brothers, GAP (bleh), CK and Ralph Lauren to.... (The better stuff, mostly) like Woolrich , Pendleton, etc. Mickey mouse as well, plenty of Disney.

I won't upload more common generic pieces unless it's from a really sought after brand.

If admin doesn't want this, fine. But it's of no commercial interest to us and we will just post the pictures up elsewhere. It's purely for the love of the classics.

I like it! Here on the Trad board I welcome things like Gant and Sero shirts, Cricketeer jackets, Chipp, Reis ties, and things from the stores of yore: Tripler, Altman's, Adler, Georgetown University Shop, Lily Pulitzer, Rogers Peet, and so on.

What exactly do you mean by old clothes? Old clothes that us guys used to wear growing up?
No, Howard, I think he means stuff he found on Ebay, and you can cut out this middle man by checking there directly yourself.

But it doesn't sound like that's what this guy, probably a young'in, is into, or aware off. An Englishman showing us American clothes (from the 80s I'm guessing) that just happened to end up in England?Just how popular could Eddie Bauer be in Guernsey, Jersey and Sark?

And I imagine there is a gulf between his idea of old and mine!

I need to sort the pics better but on mobile at the moment and I need to get on the computer to sort it better and respond. That's nothing too fun but what I've got nearest.

I'm not an eBay buyer. Literally with the business, an importer and even bulker from wholesalers that have imported (from USA).

Will do another pic post and respond to all tomorrow (UK time).

A shortish summary.

North face jumper. Pre holographic tag. Pure wool.

Carhartt hoodie.... Custom qualchan golf course embroidered.

LRL piece with shoulder pads. Semi rare as a lot could have gone wrong with it (shoulder pads, buttons, etc etc). Generally LRL isn't rate but depends on bells as whistles. I.e a common piece in mint cond 20 years later with loads of bells and whistles in tact, may be rare.

Shamrock...idk...tourist wear or direct to USA goods with that Ireland origin. Ireland aren't exactly known for their apparel, so who knows.

Pendleton. Good. Usual virgin wool piece.

Patriots sweater. Over here it's rare enough. Mass produced Reebok of course.

Old navy... Trash imo.

I did see someone mentioning Gant and I love the brand myself. We sell it with the business but alas, over here it's not too popular.

I'll get on with responses tomorrow though. Then it starts with quirky and rare pieces, not just what I have to hand.

Old as in a combination of all. What you may have worn growing up but also stuff you may not have seen or heard.

The thread is dedicated more to the what we deem to be rare or even quirky pieces that we have been fortunate to acquire.

I.e I wouldn't post a 1980's generic chaps jumper but I would post a 1980's patterned piece.

You know John I can't even remember what stuff I've worn growing up, One day I will check out some vintage pictures of me.

Well maybe some pieces I post up could bring back some memories.

Admittedly it was late when I started the thread. "Our" was referring to the business I own. "Old" sounds a bit like some dirty old clothes have been pulled out of a drawer that nobody wants to see. "Vintage" seemed a bit misleading as 90's isn't necessarily old enough to be classed as vintage, even though I will include some vintage pieces.

Really, I felt creating an archive of some rare or interesting pieces was a good idea, with items that aren't pictured anywhere online.

Still not been on the computer yet but here's a couple more.

Sunterra shell jacket. One of those ultra bad pieces that nobody will ever want. Best left in the past. Common as muck, but so bad it had to be uploaded.

Burberry geo wool jumper. Not seen one of these before. Likely 80's. Hideous roll neck piece. Rare but it will be a tough one to sell.

Hoops 5 on 5 tournament hoodie. I won't be posting up Nike stuff generally but it's an uncommon piece. Not seen any online and without cracking to the print.

Before sleep... Forgot there's a piece here at home away from our warehouse.. it's that belle brand . Over here it's quirky and not too common anyway. Women's I believe and 1 button missing. Loved the Yosemite Sam style character so kept it. View attachment 90064

That’s “Raider Red” not “Yosemite Sam.”

Guns up!
(And EMAW… but that’s another story.)
