I made this a year ago because I was very dissatisfied with what was available for tie storage in the marketplace. I like to think of it as more of a display for my ties, a piece of furniture if you will [the black watch dust cover is one of my favorite touches] . I'm currently working on another hoping to have better accommodations for bow ties and pocket squares and perhaps a corduroy dust cover this time.

What do you chaps think?
What do you use to store your beloved ties?

Very nice. I've got a a teired felt hanger normally used for laying trousers that I use for ties. Any compartment for pocket squares?

I'm adding one to my current build right now. Probably a pull out from the back or side. Also very possibly a mirror with nice casing around it will be added, mounted on the top/back, so that I could make my selection right in front of the rack [avoiding the walk from the rack to the nearest mirror].

Very, very nice!
Classy.
I roll mine in a drawer.
Again...very nice!

That's a very nice piece! I just use racks that hang in my closet, but I may build something myself one day. One thing I noticed is that you hang your knit ties. It is better to roll them as hanging will over time cause them to misshapen. Rolling them is more effective. Hanging ties will remove wrinkles, but knits won't wrinkle so hanging serves no purpose (other than saving space).

Thanks for the tip!

That is a great solution. Are you considering offering these for sale? If so, sign me up. I particularly like the Black Watch cover, since Black Watch Plaid is the official Brooksfan pattern.
This is something I may very well consider. I'm now in the final stages of the planning process on my next tie-rack and am eager to hear what you all think.

Great solution. I think you're on to something there!

I fold my ties in typical store display fashion and lay them flat in plastic storage boxes. Unfortunately, NYC apartment size restricts my storage capacity quite a bit.
