I don't have a problem with a black Bond, but it had better be for better reasons than the President being black (as per Diddy in the article).

I agree with Spence - Diddy may be wealthy and stylish, but in the interviews I have seen with him, eloquent and sophisticated are the last words I would choose to describe him.

Isn't it different enough that Felix Lydar is now a stylish black guy, as opposed to the fat, hawiian shirt wearing fellow we were used to. There are plenty of talented actors of any ethnicity, and right now, Daniel Craig is an excellent choice for the Bond which the writers envision.

Actually, you're thinking of Jack Wade, largely a recent screenwriter-created character. The Felix Leiters in the films have all been somewhat stylish.

I disagree with his reasoning for there being a black Bond. But for the sake of argument, he would be a bad Bond because he has God-awful enunciation. Denzel Washington is much more polished and would make a better Bond.
That was my first thought but then I though of his age. He still looks young but I think the black guy who played spawn would be better. Not because he's dressed well but because I could see him in all kinds of action. And I'll be the black guy to dress him.

I agree, Denzel could certainly pull off the part but he's a bit too much of a veteran. I'd like to see a younger yet mature actor like Craig in the role.

As an aside I did watch Casino Royale for the first time last night. It was good but didn't meet my expectations. I just don't see the charisma that Bond needs to score all the hot babes :)

I can't see "P. Diddy" or Sean "Puffy Daddy" -- whatever he calls himself -- being British enough to be James Bond. I wasn't impressed with the latest movie, as it had too much action -- making it hard to follow. (This sentiment is shared by everyone I know.)

I believe that radical changes, such as a black James Bond or homosexual James Bond, would end the franchise of movies.

James Bond is white, so how is it possible that a black guy can play James Bond?

There was uproar when they cast Daniel Craig, just because he had blonde hair and was a bit on the short side. I cant imagine there being a black James Bond. A black secret agent, but not called James Bond is fine though. 008 he should be called.

There are certain institutions that one does not radicalize. Bond is one of them.

To keep the liberals happy because anything white, male and or heterosexual is racist, sexist and or homophobic (especially if all three).

Bond should have black hair, which is why a lot of people were unhappy with the choices for Bond. They were even considering Jude Law for CR, I could see from the pulling the women point-of-view other then that, hell no!
