Several months back, my wife underwent surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff and to reattach a detached bicep and more recently has been undergoing physical therapy to restore flexibility and range of motion. Her surgeon is an incredibly talented medic who spent a career in the Navy as an Orthopedic Surgeon, saving countless lives in field medical hospitals in two wars and further served in several military medical centers, culminating at Walter Reed MC, restoring capabilities to severly injured soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen and he presently works as a sports injury specialist with a civilian surgical group. He is unarguably a very talented and a busy man!
The wife and I were in to see him on a periodic post surgical progress check and the Doctor came rushing into the examination room, stating let's see how your flexibility and range of motion are coming and he took her right arm and moved it in all manner of direction(s), stating "wow, you are making remarkable progress!" My perhaps overly compassionate wife quitely stated, "but Doctor, you operated on my left arm. LOL. We all had a good laugh! Even the best have their moments.
