Hello all, I wear a lounge suit every day and normally don't use a pocket hanky but I think I would like to from now on. Some questions:

What colour ought I to use with a black shirt?

If I wear a pocket hanky is plain cotton fine? Is it used at all or does it become the "Second handkerchief" that gentlemen carry (one for them and one for a damsel in distress)?

Also - an asid, what colour tie would best suit a plain black cotton shirt with a very dark grey stripe bordered by light grey stripes? It is predominantly black.
