Loro Piana report

Today I visited the Loro Piana store on Madison in NY. It was my first visit there and to my great surprise I found that they offer a full bespoke (not MTM) service. It includes a classic design on paper, 3 fittings, hand stiching and floating canvas... I was surprised to hear that all work is done in NY (???) and they produce only a limited number of suits anually. Price range is $3700 - $4100 for a 2 piece suit, $3K for sports jacketS and $4K for a topcoat made of their famous storm system fabrics.
Daniel, the gentlemen in charge of the custom service, was very pleasant and explained in detail their house style: 2 button jackets with high button stance with the low button in line with the pockets. The vents are exactly as deep as the pockets. The button holes hand stiching was well made in my opinion. They offer only a limited number of models: classic single and double breasted jackets, 2 or 3 buttons. No peak lapel is offered on the single breasted jackets. IMHO the so called house style is nothing special, but I wonder if anyone has experience with Loro Piana custom.
