This point is present in many threads, and there will never be agreement on the subject. However, before dismissing the views of Manton and Andy on the appropriateness of a lot of denim, consider the following:
A lot of our culture has convinced adult men that they can be young and cool at any age if they will just stay in shape, and understand the youth culture. To see if you buy into this, take this three part test:

1. When you were 15 years old, your dad shows up to take you out, dressed like you and your friends, your thoughts are:
a. I'm so pleased that Dad is in such good shape, and can dress like the rest of us.
b. I wonder what age you have to be to get in the witness relocation program ?

2. In walking the streets of Paris or London, American tourists always stand out because:
a. They are as well dressed as their European counterparts, but they are looking at maps, and are carrying cameras.
b. The adult males are all trying to look like teenagers in denim and baseball caps.

3. When 70 year old men like Eastwood and Redford try to look young and cool by means of plastic surgery, they look:
a. young and cool.
b. Like 70 year old burn victims.

Just checking. Best regards, Bill
