Hello, I would appreciate some advise here.

I got one tweed jacket from Bookster like 6 years ago plus a couple from Mears 2 years ago. Quite happy with all of them: sent the measurements, adjusted the details through email, paid and received them in 1-2 months.

Now I am looking to order a couple more but not sure about the new Bookster place (prices also have gone up) and I am unable to get in touch with Mears. They do not respond to my emails. I have read that they have been sold.

I have found some other websites online but not sure about their quality.

So I would be very grateful if you could please recommend me any other company that offer the same service as Bookster and Mears here in the UK (made to order tweed jackets at around £400).

I can't vouch for the quality and there are mixed reviews online, but MakeYourOwnJeans.com has worldwide shipping and they do custom tweed sport coats amongst all their other offerings. And for much cheaper than your budget. They have Harris tweed jackets starting at just $240USD. Might this be one that you mentioned you found online? If so, you can obviously disregard the rest of my post.

Now I'm well aware of the adage "you get what you pay for" and that price seems waaayy too good to be true.

So to recap; they do exist, I have no idea what the quality is like, and I notice that no senior members of the forum have mentioned them, so take that as you will.
I was actually hoping there would be some more responses as I am looking myself. Can never have enough tweed.
