Long or Extra Long

Hi

I notice that a lot of men wear suit jackets longer than the rule of thumb I understood to be desireable.

I am 6' 4'' and a bit and have always worn a 50 Long and it now seems shortish compared to others of lesser heights but clearly in long sizes.

So how long?
