As lots of posters have an interest in the changing styles over time, it looks like the Library of Congress has made it much easier for us all to track this gradually releasing many of their photos onto Flickr. Just click on the "All Sizes" link at the top left of photos to see larger versions. To me, it's interesting to see lapel widths and gorges, or how articles of clothing are buttoned, like all vest or jacket buttons being used, or even just the bottom one.:crazy:

Yeah, I only wish I found it sooner... it seems like they've been posting to it over the past year. I've only managed to get about 50 pages into it so far. They really are fun to look through from a style POV:

Interesting. You can really see the transition starting between Edwardian styles to the business clothing we're familiar with now.

This picture proves that narrow lapels did NOT start in the '50s!

Beautiful tailoring, beautiful materials. How often these days do you see a picture of a group of men whose clothes actually fit! Warm wearing though... That overcoat!
