Excellent suggestion, and I have another: in a few weeks, I will be 68. We all sort of wonder what happens if we become incapacitated, or worse. Yes, I have a will and my family is personally familiar with our attorney. But, its the little things! To that end, I'ved started a folder including insurance info, property info, and, in fact, snippets of any info helpful to post organizing my very disorganized life.

Looking back, after a good night's sleep, there are a few things I should have grabbed. My old printer doesn't scan on new Win 10 drivers. I'm sure I can scan a few photos on my wife's. 68 next year. fun

Funny I don't feel 68 (well, occasionally, such as after engaging in playing softball, or a rousing game of cards).

One thing I started doing back when I would be out in some Godforsaken wilderness for a month with a possibility of being stranded (field work in Antarctica, for example) was to arrange with my doctor and pharmacist to always have a 3-month supply of any prescriptions on hand when I set out.

I guess in the case of an evacuation, you can always just fill a script at your temporary location, but "enough drugs" has long been a part of my bug out.

(Good luck over there!)

when I switched to Medicare, my scripts went to 90-day. Just finished 20+ hours of No Cable TV or Internet. fun, stir-crazy. Tons of smoke in the area from North and South.

Hope you remain safe and don't turn into "RUN23".

Level 2 has moved up to Canby, about 11 miles from here. I've got the important documents in the gun safe, ready to pop into a bag and toss in the car. I'm packing a runaway bag. The desktop will go in just before the poodle and I. Finger, toes and eyelids crossed.

What exactly is this thread about? What is a level 2 evacuation? What is a script? Is this about old people? I am the oldest here and not getting it. Are you all all med'ed up? Is this political? I am a man of many grins who is finding ths sour and not funny at all. I have cable news for that. We are in a rough time with the Covid and the economy and the politics and my whispering depression. Don't pile on.

Wildfire, Peak. The West Coast is burning and some of us are in zones where evacuation may be called for. Level 2 means "Have your valuables packed." Level 3 is "Get outta Dodge, now!"

Yup, and I just filled the tank. I'm going into Level 1.5 before I go to bed tonight, just to be sure.
Better safe than sorry but I think Forest Grove is going to be spared Sarg. One of our places in on the edge of Clackamas County and although I've never seen smoke in the air like this over the past 28 years, looking at the topography I don't think we've got anything to worry about.

For ran23 being in Medford may be a different story,.......My thoughts and prayers are with you brother.

The humidity seems to be rising and it looks like we have rain on the way next week. Keeping all extremities crossed!
