While I'm a keyboard guy, I have to admire Les Paul's guitar skills. These were pioneer type stuff in 1951. He does use some overdubbing.

I think it's interesting to compare that to today's music - - even country music doesn't bother with melodies, etc. much any more.

There is also some great humor here!!

And Mary Ford's sister sang off stage to provide that extra voice element.

When I was young I worked for an Advertising Agency and one of my accounts was CBS Musical Instruments.

I was at their office one day and they introduced me to Mr. Fender, but I really didn't know who he was! :confused: My musical skill was just playing the radio at the time.

In this one, I'm pretty sure that Les and Mary did all the singing. There were just two parts and it was done live. While they simply dressed as people did in 1951, I thought it was cool to see.
