Enjoy

In one of Lawrence Block's novels, the protagonist says you have to sip Laphroaig until you stop hating it. (Google suggests it is Mrs. Rhodenbarr's boy Bernie, but doesn't that sound more like John Keller?)

Always something about a Scotch that takes your breath away when you sip it.

What's also fun with Laphroaig is that you can pour a glass in a room of friends and with the strong peat/iodine aroma - empty the room!! :icon_smile_big:
Good turnout last night. The bar/restuarant was fun - right by the House of Blues and Chateau Montmartre!

I wore my Bookster jacket (see the photos on the Recommendation Page) and most gentlemen were in Hawaiian shirts.

Tasted 5 different Laphroaig offerings!
Have fun, Andy....I'm envious.

Another advantage of being a Laphroaig drinker: I pretty much get the bottle to myself! When we have other single malts on our bar, they mysteriously get drained by house guests!:icon_smile_big:

Please PM me your address, but I can only stay about a week!

We were visiting friends in France and wiped out their Scotch stock, but had a pleasant surprise when I went to the grocery store to re-stock. Since it's under EU the prices were very low!
My brother once asked me how I can drink a single malt that has such a pronounced iodine flavor. My answer was simple: "Because I can.":icon_smile_big:
An evening with Andy and Laphroaig--what could be better?

(Ok, an evening with Laphroaig and Miss Cyd Charisse, c. 1953--but, alas, that's rather unlikely to happen...!)

I think if you drank enough Laphroaig .... actually I'm starting to see her now...
