My tailor has a trick where the lapel collar seam is angled a bit to get the patterns to meet perfectly. I assume it puts them in a way where the seam bisects the angle formed by the pattern lines on the two panels.
I never see this anywhere. Is this common in bespoke, a lost art, or an ill-advised oddity?
