It let's your tailor adust the button thread color, or thread type to what you want. I like these a lot better than jackets that come with fake button holes because you can have your tailor make the jacket sleeves exactly as you want. It costs a little more in tailoring but usually these only come on better quality items and so the coat should last you a long time.
