As someone recently in need of some replacement buttons for a couple of sportcoats I traveled to the thrift store and picked up a moth hole ridden Oxxford and a couple of old H. Freemans (buttons on both Freemans were the same) for under $10, and had some great horn buttons that I liberated from their former lives.

Alanc - as a man of the cloth could you opine as to whether such a sartorial sin would merit an eternity in Hell?

I think such a tailor would be forever condemned to add working kissing buttonholes to a sleeve only to find that the cloth had healed itself as soon as he finished, the job ready to be restarted again and again...
