Hello all. I just had a Zegna suit altered and I'm not impressed. The buttons were sewn through the fabric and the lining, causing the lining to interfere with my arm. Furthermore, there appears to be a surplus of lining fabric left down at the wrist. Which leads me to my question: how much, if any, excess lining is normal for a jacket sleeve at the wrist?

I think this tailor was asleep at his machine...he also hemmed a pair of jeans for me and used a dark navy blue thread. wtf?! Warning...for those in the MD suburbs of DC, avoid Custom Tailors in the Kentlands.

Thanks for letting me share.

he was too lazy to shorten the lining. should not have sewn the buttons through the lining. you have a right to be angry. have you asked him to take care of this?
on the jeans, if you did not ask for the orange thread to be used then it would be your fault.
