Anyone know what type of fabric this is? It looks like linen at a distance. I'm not sure about the closeup.

Looks like some type of tweed. For some time, a tweed made of a blend of wool, linen and silk was popular as a tweed that could be worn in warmer weather. The closeup looks very much like that type of cloth.

Thanks. It should be just the thing for winter in Los Angeles. I'm thinking it would pair well with either navy or khaki colored trousers.

Should be a natural with most earth tones, khaki, tan, etc. Possibly navy also. And lighter to medium grey might be nice also.
